A continuous frill (~3 in / 7.5 cm) around all four sides. Envelope closure on the back.

100% linen at 170 GSM, European, medium weight. Soft against skin after the first wash and softer with every subsequent one.

Care

Wash before first use — cold water, delicate cycle. The pillowcase is cut 3–5% oversized to absorb the natural shrinkage of linen; it settles to nominal size after 1–2 cold washes. For ongoing care, machine wash at 40 °C (104 °F) on a delicate cycle. Tumble dry low. Oxygen bleach is safe for white linen; do not use chlorine bleach. Yes. New linen should always be washed before first use — cold water, delicate cycle. The pillowcase ships oversized and settles to nominal size after 1–2 cold washes.

Does linen shrink?
Yes — natural fibers shrink. Expect 3–5%. This pillowcase is cut oversized to absorb that, so the final fit matches the size you ordered.

Does white linen yellow over time?
Not with normal care. White linen yellows when stored damp or when bleached with chlorine. Wash, dry fully, store dry. Oxygen bleach is safe for occasional brightening.
