Five. Ruffle, frilled and doubled ruffle are the decorative three — a single ruffle of about 6 in / 15 cm on one open side, a continuous frill of about 3 in / 7.5 cm around all four sides, and two stacked ruffles of about 1 in and 6 in. Listed sizes are the inner pillow area. The oxford's 5 cm / 2 in border and every ruffle extend beyond it.

The fabric

White and oatmeal are 100% linen at 170 GSM, European, medium weight — raw linen, soft against skin after the first wash and softer with every subsequent one. The flax is European; the cut and sew is Latvian.

The ruffle and housewife styles also come in fourteen stonewashed colors. That is a different cloth: washed before it is cut, so it arrives soft and does not shrink. Seven of the colors are 170 GSM and seven are 200 — each product page gives its own.

Care

Wash before first use — cold water, delicate cycle. Raw linen is cut 3–5% oversized and settles after 1–2 cold washes; the stonewashed colors have already done their shrinking and keep the size on the label. Ongoing care at 40 °C.
