Getting the depth right

Order by pocket depth as much as by mattress size: we cut from 8 to 22 inches — 20 to 55 cm — and a sheet made for a shallow mattress simply will not stay on a deep one. Measure with the topper in place and take the next depth up. Elastic all the way round, reinforced corner seams.

Oatmeal on a fitted sheet is a quieter decision than it looks: it is the layer that spends its life under everything else, so its color matters least to the eye and most to the laundry. A mélange of bleached white and gray yarn does not show the everyday marks a white sheet does — but it cannot be bleached either, on the piece that is washed most often. The fabric

100% linen at 170 GSM, European, medium weight. Cool in summer, warm in winter, naturally breathable.

Care

Wash before first use — cold water, delicate cycle. The sheet is cut 3–5% oversized to absorb the natural shrinkage of linen; it settles to nominal size after 1–2 cold washes. For ongoing care, machine wash at 40 °C (104 °F) on a delicate cycle. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach. Ironing is not necessary; linen carries a soft crease naturally. Full details: linen care guide.

Certification and origin

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified — the fabric and thread are tested for substances that affect skin and lungs. The flax is European; every piece is cut and sewn in our own workshop near Riga, Latvia — not subcontracted, not relabelled from elsewhere.

Common questions

Should I wash this before first use?
Yes. New linen should always be washed before first use — cold water, delicate cycle. The sheet ships oversized and settles to nominal size after 1–2 cold washes.

Does linen shrink?
Yes — natural fibers shrink. Expect 3–5%. This sheet is cut oversized to absorb that, so the final fit matches the size you ordered.

What shade is oatmeal — will it fade or vary?
Oatmeal is a mélange: bleached white warp threads woven with a gray weft, giving a soft heathered tone. Slight color variation between batches is normal for mélange linen. The color does not fade with normal care.

Will it fit my mattress?
Deep-pocket cut accommodates most modern mattresses. Check the size selector for the exact depth — match the depth to your mattress, not just the length and width.
