White linen bedding from LinenOwl — duvet covers, fitted and flat sheets, pillowcases (housewife, oxford, ruffle, frilled, doubled ruffle), and tailored bed skirts. Every piece is cut and sewn in our workshop near Riga from 100% linen at 170 GSM.
The white. Bleached to a clean white — bright, but never clinical. The fabric softens with each wash and holds the color with normal care. Yellowing is avoided by drying fully and storing dry; oxygen bleach is safe for occasional brightening.
The fabric. 100% linen at 170 GSM, European, medium weight. Breathable in summer, insulating in winter. Naturally absorbent, releases moisture quickly. The flax is European; cut and sewn in our Latvian workshop. No subcontracting.
A bed made entirely in white linen. Linen has no sheen, so a whole bed in white reads soft rather than starched — the opposite of the pressed hotel look that the same color gives in cotton percale, and the reason people who tried white cotton and disliked it often get on with this (the two fibers compared). It is also the practical one: white is the only color of ours that takes oxygen bleach, so a white bed is one you launder back rather than replace, and pieces bought years apart still match because bleached white is a fixed target rather than a batch.
Sizes. US, EU and Australian mattress sizes, plus a custom width and length on duvet covers for a duvet that fits no chart. Fitted sheets add a pocket depth from 8 to 22 in / 20 to 55 cm; bed-skirt drops run 10 to 30 in / 20 to 70 cm. Every size is listed on the product itself, and the size guide converts between the regions.
Care. Wash before first use — cold water, delicate cycle. Settles after 1–2 cold washes. Ongoing care at 40 °C. Oxygen bleach safe for white linen; no chlorine bleach.
Certification. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 — fabric and thread tested for substances that affect skin and lungs.
